Job Purpose
To maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene across the company. The role supports operational efficiency by ensuring a clean, safe working environment, minimizing contamination risks, and maintaining food safety compliance.
Principal Responsibilities
- Follow all pre-cleaning preparation procedures (SOPs)
- Wash pots, pans, and traps
- Clean windows, mirrors, offices, toilets, and change rooms
- Sweep, mop, and scrub floors using specified equipment
- Remove trash and clean waste containers
- Operate and clean power-operated dishwashers safely
- Deep clean equipment as per master cleaning schedule
- Pack garments for laundering
- Perform heavy cleaning tasks and special projects
- Report maintenance issues or safety concerns
- Follow HACCP, SHEQ, food safety, and security procedures
- Adhere strictly to Halaal Ethics Codes and Conduct
- Work shifts, weekends, and public holidays as required
- Assist in different departments when needed
Eligibility Criteria
Qualifications
- Grade 12 (NQF Level 4) or equivalent
Experience
- Minimum 1 year experience in a cleaning environment
- Willingness to undergo internal food safety and HACCP training
Knowledge & Skills
